Carmen Leilani De Jesus, C. Ht.

Carmen De Jesus is a certified hypnotherapist and Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Timeline Therapy. She was also a member of the American Hypnosis Association and the Hypnotherapists’ Union AFL-CIO Local 472. She completed her extensive and rigorous training from the nation's first fully accredited school of hypnosis - the Hypnosis Motivation Institute. 

Carmen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz.  In addition, she has studied vocal technique with Jodi Sellards, Michael Goodrich and Seth Riggs.  Her artistic journey has led her through various careers, including; performing in the original Canadian company of Miss Saigon (Kim), studio/session work for pop music, tv specials, radio voice-overs and commercial jingles in the Philippines; a career creating global marketing strategies as an advertising account supervisor with J. Walter Thompson (high tech clients included Cisco Systems, Intel Corporation and Hewlett Packard).

As a screenwriter, her first screenplay - Ang Pamana: The Inheritance , is currently on the film festival circuit. She is a blogger-in-residence at DailyMantra.com, and has also written a series of mobisodes for 3G-enabled video phones in Asia. Carmen is also the Creative Executive and Special Projects Manager at The Digital Sweatshop, Inc., an entertainment production company based in Toronto, Canada. Through the Digital Sweatshop, Carmen aims to further a creative revolution and collaboration between Filipinos all over the world, which she has coined the "Balikbayan Renaissance."

Carmen has a select private practice as a hypnotherapist, productivity coach, and vocal trainer. In 2007, she is limiting her practice to focus on her first pregnancy, as well as her new position as the Sales and Marketing Manager/Social Media Specialist at a high-tech public relations agency.

Carmen speaks fluent French and Tagalog, conversational Italian and Spanish, and is currently improving her skills with Japanese. 

Carmen is a voracious reader, who enjoys “consuming” academic, esoteric and motivational books to expand her knowledge base; however, she also enjoys reading sci-fi novels, (romance novels), as well as books on art, futurism, conspiracy theory and language.
